HELP US SPREAD THE WARMTH!
Coat & Shoe Drive At Sinai Center

We are collecting new or gently used coats and shoes now through November 15 to be distributed to needy area residents. Items can be dropped off at our Front Desk.

"We see an increase during the Holiday season in the number of people falling ill with pneumonia, experiencing frostbite, and forced to undergo amputations, says Dr. Nelson Aluya, a Medical Director at Sinai Center. "We are first-hand witnesses of the harm that inclement weather can cause - and have decided to be proactive about it by tapping in the resources and kind heart of our own community."

DEVELOPING SPORTSMANSHIP SKILLS AT SINAI
Balloon Volley Ball, Table Tennis & More!
Our residents and staff look forward to facing off in table tennis every first and third Wednesday of the month with instructor Clifton Jones. Residents love the opportunity to exercise their upper body and mental alertness, and the game boosts their adrenaline and self-esteem as they hone their skills.

. . . And on October 16, residents had a chance for some really intense team competition at our grand Balloon Volley Ball Play-Off on our 6th floor.
Employees of the Month
Congratulation to those dedicated Sinai employees who earned the coveted Employee of the Month award this past month. Keep up the great work!

Taking Pride In
The Hispanic Heritage Of Our Residents
Sinai Center is home to many Hispanic residents and staff. Our Hispanic Month Celebration brought everyone together to enjoy traditional dance, music, and desserts. Residents wore colorful costumes, played a variety of instruments and sang songs from their native countries. You could feel the pride and joy in the room of an enthusiastic crowd. The Flan, personally made by the Director of Dining Services, Jonathan Fox, was a big hit, as were the freshly baked cookies. All in all, it was a great celebration.

Special thanks to Newark Community Service Officer Molino for stopping in to share lollipops and hugs with our residents.
