LUM Good Samaritan Fund
is an emergency financial assistance program which provides our community’s neediest families and children with a strong and reliable safety net. Help is offered for utility bills, rent, and prescription medications. In
2018
, financial assistance was provided

was shared.

In just over a month, the LUM
Tax Assistance Program
has had a tremendous positive impact on our community. Some interesting statistics so far are as follows:
- Total Income Tax Returns Filed – 206
- Total Earned Income Credit – $105,749
- Average Adjusted Gross Income – $21,823
- Total Refund Amount – $362,503
LUM would not be able to offer this service without the skilled, trained volunteers who make this important LUM program such a success each year. At LUM, taxpayers get one-on-one help from IRS-certified volunteers who prepare their taxes at no charge. The 2018 LUM

You are cordially invited to attend the
St. John's/LUM Food Pantry Celebration. Here are the event details:
- DATE: Saturday, March 23
- TIME: 7 p.m.
- PLACE: Commons - St. John's Episcopal Church, 600 Ferry Street, Lafayette
- Free & open to the public
- Hors d'oeuvres will be served
The reception will celebrate and honor 27 years of service to the families in Tippecanoe County. Reflections of the food pantry will be shared, and volunteers and staff will be recognized. If you have stories to share or know of milestones in the history of the food pantry, please submit those in advance to the Rev. Bradley Pace at
