Last Call: Transportation Survey

The Montgomery Departments of Health and Planning have been conducting an ongoing transportation needs survey to help us better understand how residents travel. The survey will close Friday, April 24 and responses will no longer be accepted.

We encourage all residents to submit their responses before this date. Your feedback is critical in determining where service gaps exist and how we can improve mobility for everyone. Take the survey here.

Be a Rec N Crew Counselor!

Applications are now open for Summer Rec N Crew Counselors! Counselors help create amazing memories for kids through games, activities, and unforgettable experiences – all while building leadership skills and making new friends.

The program invites high school and college students to spend summer outside, staying active, and gaining valuable experience working with kids of all ages. Interested counselors are invited to fill out an employment application. Find the application here.

Youth Applications Now Open!

Applications are being accepted for the Greater Raritan Workforce Development Board (GRWDB) 2026 Summer Youth Work Experience Program! The program invites local youth to work with an employer and complete virtual career-readiness programs and in-person classes. Each participant will receive a tax-free stipend of $17 an hour, for a total of $3,400, if all 200 hours are completed.

Montgomery residents ages 16 to 24 years old are invited to apply. Eligible applicants will be matched with employers who have also applied to the program. This year, the township is hoping to obtain three applicants who will work as interns in various departments. The deadline for youth applications is Monday, May 4. Find more information on the program here and the youth application here.

The 2026 budget will be presented and introduced at the April 16 township committee meeting. The Montgomery Planning Board will meet on April 27 to begin discussing the redevelopment of 23 Orchard Road.

Due to sewer main construction, the Montgomery Public Works Yard at 12 Harlingen Road will be temporarily closed to the public from April 20 to approximately July 20. During this time, the container facility and large containers for recycling materials will be closed. There will be no recycling blue bin pick-up. Find more information and possible alternatives for recycling or disposal on our website.
