Hyland Hills Board of Directors Election May 3rd
Three open positions on the Hyland Hills Board of Directors will be voted on May 3, 2022 and all registered Hyland Hills Residents are eligible to vote to fill those open positions. The official designated polling place is the MAC, located at 3295 West 72nd Avenue, where you can vote in person on May 3rd from 7 am to 7 pm.

The other option is that a voter can request an absentee ballot (requests must be received by 5 p.m. on April 26th) and a ballot will be immediately mailed to you by the Designated Election Official. The voter must make sure to mail their ballot in immediately so it is received by May 3rd, or it can be hand delivered to the polling place by 7pm on election day.

Carroll Butts Improvement Project
Many homeowners around Carroll Butts Park have received project and contact information about the exciting renovation and expansion of the old sports building located at 94th and Perry Street. The building will soon feature amazing amenities including a new gymnastics center, multi-purpose gymnasium, WI-FI, community activity/meeting rooms and event space for small family events, and more. This is a rendering of the project which will feel like brand new when complete and is expected to debut in early 2023. 
Hyland Hills Foundation Upcoming Events

The Hyland Hills Foundation is busy this season with two great events that you can be a part of! First it’s the big Cornhole Tournament on April 23rd at Clear Creek Valley Park . Come out and cheer on our teams as they compete for cash prizes. Shortly after the tournament, the Annual Hyland Hills Foundation Golf Tournament takes place on July 15th.

Each of these events helps raise money for kids who can’t afford to play a sport that they love. Recreation scholarships funded by the Foundation assure that no kid is turned away. Both events are filling up fast, so go to www.hylandhillsfoundation.org now to register for both!
The Ice Centre at the Promenade Hosts Sled Hockey Tournament

A first-time ever, successful para-ice hockey sled tournament was held at the Ice Centre at the Promenade in late March. Paralympic athletes were on hand to welcome athletes of all levels and abilities. The free and exciting event was sponsored by Colorado Sled Hockey www.coloradosledhockey.net and was open to all abilities. Congratulations to all participants!
 
Jackson Zinn Remembered

Many heard about the terrible March crash in West Texas that took the lives of six young golfers and their golf coach traveling from their university in New Mexico. One of those killed was a local golfer who had close ties to the staff and community at the Greg Mastriona Golf Courses at Hyland Hills. Twenty-two year old Jackson Zinn participated in the Hyland Hills Junior Golf Program from 2010 through 2016 and he became an instructor from 2017 – 2019. Later, he worked at our courses as a Golf Shop attendant. He enjoyed working the starter window and interacting with guests talking with everyone about golf, politics, and life in general. He was always positive and a great team member with a heart of gold, and everyone loved Jackson. He is greatly missed.
