MAKE YOUR VOICE HEARD

We frequently get calls and emails from multi-family housing providers, single family homeowners, condo and ADU owners who are frustrated and angry that Measure H wasn't clearly articulated to the voters.

Many are outraged that they must pay up to $38,000 to move back to their own unit.

Many were told by ballot harvesters and activists, "Measure H is just for corporate landlords and foreign investors."

Yeah, right!

Now that the harsh realities of Measure H are becoming clear, you need to make your voices heard. Please write letters about your specific stories for the local news media as well as contacting the city council with personal stories. It is only through political pressure that necessary changes can be made.

REMINDERS

Smoke and carbon monoxide detectors must be checked at least once per year. A noted real estate attorney recently recommended a twice-yearly inspection:

-late Fall for carbon monoxide detectors;

-late Spring for smoke detectors.

As owners, we are responsible for habitability issues, whether or not we are aware of them. This twice-annual visit can help us make sure that habitability standards are maintained for tenants.
