Swing a hammer, encourage a woman in your life, or make a donation. The "Women Build" is a way for EVERYONE to help a single mother

Shaniqua Oliver is proud single-mother to her 2 year old daughter Averi. Since the age of 16, Shaniqua has been supporting herself. She is determined to be self-sufficient and make a better life for herself and her daughter.

Now Shaniqua is diligently working to complete her 350 hours of “sweat equity” and 10 financial and homeownership education classes before closing on her home. Thanks to Habitat for Humanity and your support, when her house is completed next year, Shaniqua will purchase her home and pay an affordable, zero percent interest mortgage, making her dream of homeownership a reality. You can help Shaniqua and Averi's dream come true.

All women are invited to sign up to help with the Richmond Habitat for Humanity Women Build house on Saturday, June 1, 8:00 AM-3:00 PM . This is a great opportunity to serve in the community with other women. No experience is necessary! All tools and supervision are provided by Habitat.

If you can't serve, consider inviting and encouraging a woman in your life to participate . You can also make a donation . All donations and registration proceeds go toward the fundraising goal for Shaniqua's house.

VBS is for everyone! Children, teens, and adults are encouraged to participate in this fun week.
VBS is Tuesday, July 9-Friday, July 11

To Mars and Beyond will help kids discover the wonders of God’s universe. They’ll become Voyagers on a journey through space, exploring where God’s power can take them.

Our VBS is open to children 3 years of age (and potty trained) through kids entering 5th grade in the fall. New this year: rising 4th and 5th graders will participate in local mission outreach off-site for two of the four days.

Volunteers are needed to help participants experience the love of Jesus. There many types of roles and one of them is just right for you! Please consider helping.
Giving Jesus a Hug
As little Abbie's grandmother was bringing her to enjoy an afternoon on our playground, Abbie asked if she could "give Jesus a hug." Abbie refers to all crosses as "Jesus," and just couldn't pass up an opportunity to show her love!
All are welcome at the Ascension Day Eucharist on May 30 & refreshments are needed
