Take Action Today to Protect Head Start

We’re standing strong to defend Head Start as recent proposals threaten its future. For generations, Head Start has provided high quality early education, nutrition, and family supports for children in underserved communities.

The proposed elimination of Head Start could devastate nearly one million young children and their families nationally, including nearly 20,000 here in Louisiana. We must raise our voices now to protect these vital services and safeguard opportunities for the next generation and their parents and caregivers who rely on Head Start so that they can continue to work to support their families and achieve economic independence.

Thank you for standing with us—and with families across our state.

About Clover

Established in 1896, Clover's mission is to educate children, strengthen families, and build community.

Clover (formerly known as Kingsley House) envisions a city and region where all young children are ready to succeed, and all citizens are healthy and economically stable. Recognizing that vulnerable families are at risk of being caught in an intractable cycle of poverty, we are committed to ensuring that individuals and families have the supports necessary to be successful at all stages of life. To accomplish our goals, we join forces with dedicated community partners and collectively work with families to fuel economic growth and social change in our city, state, and region.
