LGE Class XXVII Introductions
JEFFREY A. HERBEL
Hometown: Hooker, Oklahoma
Family: I am married to the love of my life, Kitty. We have been married eight years. We have one daughter Addison Grace who is three years old. I have two children from my first marriage - Zayne who is a senior at UCO in Edmond and my son Braxton who passed away in 2011.
Occupation/Profession: I am the Director of Information and Instructional Technology for the Enid Public Schools District. I oversee the staff of the department - which supports all technology in the district. I help set the technology vision for the district and then oversee the implementation of the technology.
Who is/was the most influential person in your life and why: The most influential person in my life would be my father. He was a workaholic and so frugal with his money. He was called Scrooge Herbel. He showed me that you must work hard to achieve what you want and be fiscally responsible in life.
What are three things on your bucket list: Visit Australia, go to England to watch the Wimbledon tournament live and go to Mardi Gras
What was your all-time best Halloween costume: When in college, I dressed up like a pregnant woman with the wig, dress and pregnant belly. Then I went to work at Wal-Mart and surprised all of the customers that asked me for help.
Favorite thing about Enid: It is not too big and it is not too small. I grew up in Hooker, a town of 1,500 people and then lived in OKC, a metro of 1 million people. Enid has the small town charm in a small urban setting, its just the right size for me and my family.
MARANDA PHARES

Who is/was the most influential person in your life and why: It's difficult to choose just one influential person. I've had many people guide, mentor and encourage me.
What are three things on your bucket list: Eat a meal cooked by a celebrity chef, serve on a national or international council or committee for food safety and visit the United Kingdom.
What was your all-time best Halloween costume: Publisher's Clearing House Sweepstakes Award Winner
Favorite thing about Enid: The PEOPLE!!
