Make an Impact this Holiday Season

The month of December is jam packed with celebrations, from honoring African-American heritage (Kwanzaa) and celebrating Buddha's enlightenment (Bodhi Day), to observing the festival of lights (Hanukkah) and the birth of Jesus (Christmas). The Center for Health and Hope wishes you and your family and friends good health and cheer this holiday season!

Rev. Catherine Mutua Visits Denver

Our Executive Director, Justin Levy, along with Chairman of the Board, Don Messer, recently welcomed Rev. Catherine Mutua, the Director of the Methodist Treatment Center in Meru, Kenya to Denver. Catherine has been a long-time partner of the Center's work in Kenya, with the Center providing the funds for her annual salary. In addition to her work with substance abuse, Catherine has contributed to our work helping AIDS orphans, supporting the local LGBTQ+ community, and so much more. Catherine's visit included time with Dr. Patrick Fehling, with the University of Colorado's Center for Dependency, Addiction and Rehabilitation (CeDAR).

World AIDS Day: December 1

The Center was proud to be one of the presenters of this year's World AIDS Day observance at Park Hill United Methodist Church on December 1. Approximately 120 people were present for this special evening, remembering those we have lost due to AIDS, and showing support for the millions of people around the globe who are HIV positive.
