December 2, 2022
Dear Neighbor,

Hunger Free Holidays and holiday giving are coming to an end this month. We want to thank you for the heart you have for this community. You make the holidays so special and always inspire us with your compassion for others. You are remarkable!

It's also a great month to finish up your holiday shopping. If you want to find unique items to give, decorate with or wear, our Thrift Stores might be the place for you! Our prices meet the needs of every budget and every purchase benefits The Caring Place's mission in our community. As someone who grew up in this town, I am so proud of the work we do here. We are only able to do it because of the support you give through donating, volunteering and shopping, so thank you for that!

Blessings for a wonderful holiday season,

Ann Lind
Retail Operations Director

P.S. If you need a last-minute gift, we sell gift cards in $20 increments!

December Giving Update:
Hunger Free Holidays
Did you know in 2021 in the Food Pantry, we raised nearly $90,000 in the last 3 months of the year alone? We call that Campaign time "Hunger Free Holidays." This year in 2022, during the same campaign, we have just reached $34,000 so far. Can you help us get the rest of the way?

The money we raise during Hunger Free Holidays helps us fill our Food Pantry all year long. You can help us provide food to neighbors in need by making a monetary gift today.

We've had neighborhoods, schools, civic groups and businesses host monetary Food Drives this year and it's so inspiring! Pictured above is Sun City Neighborhood 13 representative Kerri Schroeder bringing in her neighborhood's annual donation.

If you are interested and want to borrow a Little Blue Barrel for your monetary Food Drive, learn more at caringplacetx.org/bluebarrel or call Rita at 512-943-0702.

Thrift Shopping
Have you tried thrift shopping for gifts? Our prices alone keep customers coming back for decor, furniture, books, toys, crafts, and clothing, but our variety and unique finds have gift-giving potential.

You'll find wonderful fall and holiday decor at both locations. Come and be inspired!
