COVID-19's Impact on Tourism Businesses

Governor Roy Cooper issued a “Stay-At-Home” order that went into effect on Monday, March 30th at 5pm. According to the order, “Leaving the home and travel for Essential Activities is permitted for outdoor activity. Section 1, item 3iii states “To engage in outdoor activity, provided individuals comply with Social Distancing Requirements and Mass Gatherings, as defined below, such as, by way of example and without limitation, walking, hiking, running, golfing, or biking. Individuals may go to public parks and open outdoor recreation areas. However, public playground equipment may increase spread of COVID-19, and therefore shall be closed. These activities are subject to the limitations on events or convening in Section 3 of this Executive Order.

In addition to the workout suggestions the Greensboro YMCA is posting on their Facebook page daily, they are also offering videos on their website to simulate group exercise classes. The Virtual Y website also features activity ideas for families and children.
