Summer Late Nights

Monday-Friday, June 26-Sept 1; 5-10 pm at various locations

Starting June 26, Summer Teen Late Nights opens across Tacoma, with schools, community centers and non-profits opening their doors to keep teens safe and engaged. Tacoma Public Schools middle and high schoolers can get dinner every night and participate in open gym, art and music activities, and hang out with friends.

Summer Sports Camp Fun

Sports camps are a great way to have fun and stay active through the summer! Choose from rowing, skateboarding, soccer, yoga, lacrosse, tennis, volleyball and much more. 

Sports camps are supported by Mary Bridge Children's Hospital.

Golden Games Social

Thursday, June 22; 10 am-12 pm at Center at Norpoint, $5 admission

Come for the games and food, stay for a good time with friends! Join us for this 50+ games social event to play your favorite games with friends and make some new friends.

Summer Jump Off Community BBQ

Friday, June 23; 3-6 pm at Eastside Community Center

Join us for a sizzling summer celebration at our FREE Summer Jump Off Community BBQ! Gather your family, friends, and neighbors for an afternoon of fun, food, and community spirit.

Wapato Lake Park Restoration Work Party

Saturday, June 24; 9 am-12 pm at Wapato Lake Park

Join Park Steward David Horne to help beautify and maintain the restoration site at Wapato Lake Park. We will be removing invasive non-native plants and maintaining previous plantings, in an effort to restore the ecology near the wetlands. All ages and abilities are welcome!

Pride Celebration

June 24-25; 9-5 pm at Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium

Celebrate Pride and our LGBTQ+ community at the Zoo! Watch animals enjoy rainbow-themed enrichments all weekend. Many animal areas will be decorated in festive Pride decorations. Come and see the Zoo filled with amazing color.

Enchanted Tea Party

Sunday, June 25; 4-6 pm at the W.W. Seymour Conservatory

Come relax in the shade of the trees and delight in an assortment of local teas, sweet & savory treats, and fresh fruit. Our enchanted tea party will be held outside, with opportunities to stroll and enjoy our summer flower exhibit. Tickets are $20 plus fees.

Co-Create to Recreate

Wednesday, June 28; 6-7:30 pm at People's Community Center

Join us at your community center to enjoy a meal together, share your ideas and learn about the process for updating the six-year parks and recreation plan. Free!  

Homespun Happy Hour

Thursday, June 29; 6-9 pm at Fort Nisqually

Grab some friends, enjoy a beverage, explore the museum’s historic buildings, and learn something new! Crafts may vary by event. This event is for 21+ only.

Plant Swap Social

Thursday, June 29; 9-11:30 pm at Eastside Community Center

Share a plant, Take a plant. This is a free event offered by the senior activities department, but open to all! Bring any seeds, starts, cuttings, bulbs, potted plants, bare root plants, and more to trade or just give away. We will also have a “Free” table for giveaway items!
