MAKEOVER MONDAY


This week I am featuring my 'Occupied Staging Consultation' service. Arrangement of furniture and decluttering is the first step and COST-FREE option to improve the look of your home for potential Buyers. A Staging Consultation helps remind Sellers that they need to make their home appeal to the typical Buyer. Clearly these Sellers have outgrown their home but the Buyer may be just starting out and won't have all those storage needs. Either way, a home on the market needs to look its best, and removal and rearranging of items is the first step. BEFORE...

This room was rectangular but they had the sofa on the short wall, so that the dogs could get to the window.

AFTER...

When you are selling a home, the layout needs to function better for the humans that are looking to buy. Putting the sofa on the long wall fits the space better.







BEFORE...

Clearly these owners need more storage in the kitchen. Obviously the kitchen is an important factor when buying a home so it needs to look it's best. And the new owner may not have as much stuff as the Seller.h

AFTER...

I recommended that they put a simple curtain over the bookshelves and swap places with their dining table. Obviously this is where the table was designed to go but the other way seemed to work better for the owners.






BEFORE...

The Sellers removed a lot of cabinet doors for the open look and easy access but it didn't show well. The table in the foreground was switched with the bookshelf in the dining area.

AFTER...

After they reattached the missing doors, I recommended they continue the grey paint color on the soffitt above the cabinets to give it a more continuous look.






BEFORE...

The only bathroom upstairs needed to look it's best. I always recommend that personal hygiene items are completely hidded in photos and 'daily use' items are kept in a basket that can be quickly stored under that cabinet when not in use.

AFTER...

This photo shows how much better professional photography can be just on the lighting alone. Now the bathroom itself is more of a focal point instead of all the toiletries.
