Nancy Meza-Torres, Baruch College ’26, is a master’s student studying higher education administration. She aspires to help students and school communities succeed. Nancy previously earned a bachelor’s in sociology from Queens College and an associate degree in childhood education and elementary education and teaching from LaGuardia.

Nancy also works as a student success mentor at LaGuardia Community College, helping students adjust to college life and familiarize themselves with the campus and its resources. She also works with professors and others to foster an inclusive, equitable campus environment at the school.

What has been your favorite class so far?

“Leadership in Higher Education Administration…has taught me a lot about my leadership style and how to work with others even when we don’t agree. Classmates have helped me improve as a leader in the workplace; what I’ve learned will help me be a great leader in the future.”
