REGISTRATION OPEN - Free Personal Finance and Economic Education Webinars to Be Held Registration is now open for the 2013-2014 Making Cents webinars. The Pennsylvania Department of Education and Penn State University are continuing their partnership in the 2013-2014 school year to offer six new Making Cents webinars at no charge to teachers. Mark your calendars and plan to attend. Two sessions will be held each day to accommodate various schedules: 3:00pm - 4:30pm and 6:30pm - 8:00pm.

National Report Card Gives Pennsylvania a 'D' on Efforts to Improve Financial Literacy
The Center for Financial Literacy at Champlain College used national data to grade all 50 states on their efforts to produce financially literate high school graduates. What the grading shows is the we have a long way to go before we a are a financially literate nation. Just 40 percent of states were given grades of A or B (green and blue on the map below). Pennsylvania was given a D. You can download the complete report on their website.
