2022 is looking hopeful for continuing B2B partnerships. If there is one thing we have learned since 2020, we need to build our alliances & joint ventures have proven to be engaging & successful.
There are some truly fabulous connections that have emerged building on community, creativity, & profitability. Procuring ingredients from other VT food manufacturers & farmers has helped drive sales of custom products & seasonal ventures. Many stores have been carrying a special blend of Heady Topper Mustard from Butterfly Bakery. Another fabulous "winter" item doing well in Vermont stores & sold across the region is the beer bratwurst blend of Vermont Salumi & Fiddlehead Brewing. Another notable partnership between businesses is Gracie's Tamales purchase of masa from All Souls Tortilleria.
Of course, there are many other partnerships between businesses some as private label products, some as fundraisers for community programs, & some are events held in tandem that bring together communities. Some products have multiple applications too. Sisters of Anarchy sells partial raspberry pieces to bakers, jam makers & brewers of all sorts of beverages. Need some berry bits for your products?
We are not out of the omicron woods yet. Keeping on the positive side is at times a challenge. That’s where collaboration can be so helpful. Our willingness to create a food-based professional workforce that fits our food & farming needs can be a goal to shore up our countless staffing shortages in these tough times.
