Creativity and Generosity Find A Home at ELAWC

At ELAWC, we are constantly uplifted by the generosity and creativity of our remarkable supporters.

From wedding celebrations to leadership training programs, individuals and groups are turning personal milestones and opportunities into transformative action—choosing to invest in healing, safety, and justice.

We are profoundly grateful to each supporter who chooses to stand with us—your kindness, creativity, and commitment make our work possible and our impact stronger. These inspiring gestures remind us that intentional generosity can truly touch lives in extraordinary ways.

Love in Action: A Registery With Purpose

Ensuring women's safety is a heartfelt commitment to creating a world where every woman can live without fear, embraced by respect, dignity, and unwavering support.

Alix Weege and Alex Gallner wanted their wedding to be more than a celebration—they wanted it to spark change.

Knowing they were blessed with more than enough, the couple decided to skip the traditional gift registry and instead find an organization aligned with their values as a focus for giving in their honor.

Moved by our mission, they invited their wedding guests to contribute to ELAWC’s Forever Home Capital Campaign. Their generous gifts are helping ELAWC furnish our new headquarters—a safe space supporting survivors and strengthening our community.

Thanks to their heartfelt call to action, Alix and Alex leave a legacy of their love at ELAWC, a special place for healing, dignity, and empowerment. We are forever grateful for their kindness.

Leadership in Action: LP209 Steps Up

Shoutout to the powerhouse team of Karla Zuniga, Frankie Murguia, Suyun Wu, Bandy Urbieta, Jorge Morales, Nicholas Lum, Julian Fuentes, Anel Lee, Gracie Garcia, Jeff Reynoso, and Victoria Tugolukova! Your leadership, passion, and generosity are helping us build a lasting home for healing.

When LP209, a dynamic group of professionals in a world-class Leadership Program were tasked with creating a meaningful community project, former ELAWC intern Anel Lee nominated our organization. The group unanimously agreed—and what followed was nothing short of extraordinary.

LP209 launched a campaign that raised over $30,000 for ELAWC’s Forever Home campaign, helping to outfit our new space with much-needed furnishings.

But they didn’t stop there. They also collected essential household items and gift cards for our clients—and organized a day of beauty and healing like no other.

Clients were treated to haircuts, makeovers, and tutorials led by celebrity stylists, barbers, and makeup artists—professionals who turned down Oscar invitations to instead serve ELAWC clients with compassion and care. The event not only uplifted spirits, but empowered survivors to reclaim their confidence and self-expression.

Thank you LP209. Because of you, survivors know they are not alone. Your support strengthens our mission and our community every day.

Gratitude to the amazing Jacob Vega, Alyna Ajere, Esmeralda Leana Habibti, and Leslie De Jesus — celebrity stylists and artists who gifted our clients a powerful day of self-care, confidence, and connection.

Do Small Things, With Great Love

"And though it felt life would cease to exist if I left him; I built the strength to leave because my children needed more than what I was given in this dark moment in my life. Never lose sight of dreams for they do come true, you just have to believe ."
