Dear Ones,
This Sunday, our 2026 Pledge Drive will culminate in offering our financial pledges on the altar for blessings and thanksgiving. The theme of this year: Sought/Found: Community. Grace. Love. has asked us to reflect on why we came to Trinity. What were we seeking? What did we find?
If you found what you sought here and Trinity has become a meaningful part of your life, I hope that you will choose to support your parish financially.
You may recall from our annual meeting last January that we made significant cutbacks in our 2025 budget. Our annual operating income was set at $776,000 and our expenses were set at about $850,000. This deficit budget for 2025 was about half the deficit of 2024. We aim to cut the deficit in half again thanks to full year savings on a couple staff positions. And, if at all possible, we hope to close the gap entirely. That would mean increasing our income by about $30,000 in terms of pledges, plate giving, rental income, event hosting, and more.
We have made some gains by welcoming another renter as of October, Corazón AZ. They now reside in the two offices on the East side of the 3rd floor hall. We also welcomed Phoenix Women's Chorus this past summer as renters, and are always open to exploring new tenants - come talk to me if you have ideas!

Este domingo, nuestra Campaña de Compromisos 2026 culminará con la ofrenda de nuestros compromisos financieros en el altar para recibir bendiciones y dar gracias. El tema de este año: Buscado/Encontrado: Comunidad. Gracia. Amor. nos ha invitado a reflexionar sobre por qué vinimos a Trinity. ¿Qué buscábamos? ¿Qué encontramos?
Si encontraste aquí lo que buscabas y Trinity se ha convertido en una parte significativa de tu vida, espero que decidas apoyar económicamente a tu parroquia.
Quizás recuerden de nuestra reunión anual del pasado mes de enero que hicimos recortes significativos en nuestro presupuesto para 2025. Nuestros ingresos operativos anuales se fijaron en 776 000 dólares y nuestros gastos en unos 850 000 dólares. Este presupuesto deficitario para 2025 era aproximadamente la mitad del déficit de 2024. Nuestro objetivo es reducir el déficit a la mitad de nuevo gracias al ahorro durante todo el año en un par de puestos de personal. Y, si es posible, esperamos cerrar la brecha por completo. Thanksgiving Breakfast - Can You Help?
We will host breakfast on Thanksgiving for our unhoused neighbors. We will need volunteers to assist on the day for a shift during the window of 6am - 10am for hosting, cooking, cleaning up, welcoming, and more. Can't make it that day but want to help? Starting Nov 23, you can drop off a breakfast bread: muffins, rolls, bagels, etc. that we will also provide to our guests.

Desayuno de Acción de Gracias: ¿puedes ayudar?

Homeless Seniors need special care. Justa Center helps!
Taking its name from the Canaanite woman described in Matthew 15:21-28, the Justa Center is open daily to serve homeless adults aged 55 and older. The Center offers a safe refuge from the streets, along with breakfast & lunch, as well as resources such as a mailroom, phones, and computers. The Center’s staff of professionals helps people access nightly shelter, benefits, transportation, and housing. Join the conversation about the vital work being done in our community!

Spread Christmas Cheer!
Once again Trinity Cathedral will be supporting Nourish Phoenix as they help make Christmas special for the children in our community ages 2-13, but they're doing it a little differently this year!
They will be decorating their facility into "Santa’s Workshop" so parents can pick out what they want for their children from all the wonderful toys and games we provide.
There are two ways you can help:
- Pick a tag or two off the tree in Olney Gallery and purchase the gifts on it.
- Buy gift cards from places like Target, Walmart, Goodwill, HalfPrice Books, etc.
Please spend no more than $50 dollars and please do not have items shipped directly to the Cathedral. If you would like to ship a gift, email Deacon Myra (myra@trinitycathedral.com) to get an address to mail things to. Bring the gifts unwrapped or in a gift bag to the Cathedral before December 7. Thank You!

Czinar’s paintings are inspired by hiking in Arizona’s diverse terrain. “I decided to reignite my old passion for painting to better communicate why the Arizona wilds are so enchanting.” Czinar writes for Phoenix Magazine and has authored books about hiking in Arizona. She has a BFA from California State University and has studied painting at Phoenix Center for the Arts.
Lovett creates Surreal Landscapes. His paintings are inspired by landscapes that drift beyond what we know, placing familiar elements in unfamiliar settings. “I hope to spark curiosity and reflection. This series is less about depicting a place and more about evoking a feeling.” Lovett has studied painting and drawing at Phoenix Center for the Arts since 2020.
Quissell captures the beautiful, elusive moment of changing light and how it plays on the view. “I enjoy how watercolor moves across paper on its own, creating serendipity, and I enjoy the colors and surface qualities that can be imitated in glazing.” Quissell is a private art instructor and has an MFA from the Savannah College of Art and Design.

Las pinturas de Czinar se inspiran en las excursiones por los diversos terrenos de Arizona. «Decidí reavivar mi antigua pasión por la pintura para comunicar mejor por qué la naturaleza salvaje de Arizona es tan encantadora». Czinar escribe para la revista Phoenix Magazine y es autora de libros sobre senderismo en Arizona. Tiene una licenciatura en Bellas Artes por la Universidad Estatal de California y ha estudiado pintura en el Phoenix Center for the Arts.
Lovett crea paisajes surrealistas. Sus pinturas se inspiran en paisajes que van más allá de lo que conocemos, colocando elementos familiares en entornos desconocidos. «Espero despertar la curiosidad y la reflexión. Esta serie no se centra tanto en representar un lugar como en evocar un sentimiento». Lovett ha estudiado pintura y dibujo en el Phoenix Center for the Arts desde 2020.

We ask your prayers for the poor,
the sick, the hungry, the oppressed, and those in prison, particularly those who are being removed from this country without due process and those being removed in spite of being in legal immigration processes. We pray for those losing or being priced out of healthcare or SNAP. We pray for all those who are afraid in these times.
We commend to your mercy all who have died, that your will for them may be fulfilled; and we pray that we may share with all your saints in your eternal kingdom.
