Senior Design: From Sugarcane Byproduct to Seltzer Beverage


A team of chemical engineering majors are working on an innovative process to convert bagasse, a waste product from sugarcane processing, into a unique alcoholic seltzer drink.

Student Team Excels in Lockheed Ethics Competition


The competition asked teams to tackle a real-world case study that demanded the integration of ethical, technical, and business expertise to provide solutions for complex engineering problems. Mark Moujabber and Sean Rassa placed as semi-finalists, securing a spot in the top four among 72 teams from universities across the nation.

Vertically Integrated Projects Program: Applications Open for Spring Quarter


Interested in engaging in an enriching research experience? The VIP Program offers access to leading faculty and research teams. Work with a multidisciplinary group to tackle novel research and design problems while earning academic credit. Spring 2023-2024 teams cover various topics, from cognitive neuroengineering to sustainable transportation systems and more. Advanced Research Projects Agency – Energy Fellowship


Attention graduate students: the Advanced Research Projects Agency – Energy (ARPA-E) is seeking creative early-career scientists and engineers for its prestigious two-year Fellowship program. Fellows will identify technological whitespaces, contribute to program development, guide agency strategy, and engage with innovators across sectors. The position is open to recent or soon-to-be STEM PhD graduates who are U.S. citizens. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
