Thank you to our sponsors!

Dear  ,

2014 was a great year for us and as we look towards 2015 and the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio De Janeiro, we wanted to take a moment to say a big THANK YOU for all you have done to support the USA Swimming Foundation and USA Swimming.

Whether you are a swimmer, parent, coach, official, donor, or fan of the sport, we appreciate your commitment to save lives and build champions - in the pool and in life.

Here's a small, by the numbers, glimpse at what the USA Swimming Foundation accomplished in 2014:

Make a Splash, the USA Swimming Foundation's learn to swim initiative, awarded 65 grants totaling more than $348,615 to provide nearly 63,000 scholarships for children to participate in learn-to-swim programs across the country.

For the first time ever, the USA Swimming Foundation provided more than $500,000 in grants to our National Team program to provide direct athlete support, incentives for coaches, and Junior National Team travel. This will help support our team on their road to Rio.

Two USA Swimming Foundation Fantasy Camps brought 35 swimmers between the ages of 12 and 70 to the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs to train with Olympians and national team coaches and raise valuable funds to support the Foundation's mission. The 2015 camps will be announced soon, stay tuned!

The new USA Swimming Foundation Travel and Training Grant distributed $30,000 in direct athlete support to athletes in need.

The USA Swimming Foundation's Golden Goggle Silent Auction raised nearly $87,000, surpassing our goal by 93% and giving us the opportunity to continue

supporting the work of USA Swimming and our Make-A-Splash initiative.

We look forward to working with you to make 2015 even more spectacular!

Local Partner Testimonial:

Harris County Aquatics Program

Funding from the USA Swimming Foundation allowed the Harris County Aquatics Program to work out of a new site this year: the Julia C. Hester House. The Hester House is located in Houston's historic Fifth Ward community. The Fifth Ward is typically an underserved, "food desert" community, with its share of issues. Families were thrilled to have a no-cost program they could walk to in their neighborhood.

Our instructors developed great relationships with the community, parents, and the Hester House staff. The lessons, leadership, and teamwork that the instructors bestowed on the students has really made an impact. Many of the children were shy and timid and had never participated in swimming lessons due to finances. Now, the students who barely spoke are encouraging each other and eager to take turns helping the instructors. Many have indicated they want to become lifeguards one day, and even compete in the Olympics. It has truly transformed who they are and their sense of what they may become in the future.

Often, people consider learning to swim a potential life-saving skill. But for this community, it is beyond water safety - it is quality of life. Teaming with the USA Swimming Foundation's Make-A-Splash initiative is truly transforming lives and giving opportunities to the children in the Fifth Ward. Without funding from the USA Swimming Foundation, these opportunities would not be available to these youth. Thank you for helping HCAP serve the youth of Houston.

Tribute Gifts

There may be no better way to honor someone than through a gift with lasting meaning. Making a gift to the USA Swimming Foundation to commemorate a graduation, anniversary, passing, or another occasion makes for a personal and lasting tribute.

Through the USA Swimming Foundation Tribute donation page you can specify for whom or what you are making your gift. If you so elect, we will send a letter to the family or the honoree, notifying them that a tribute gift has been made (the amount of your contribution is not revealed).

Tribute gifts provide critical support for the USA Swimming Foundation's mission to strengthen the sport by saving lives and building champions - in the pool and in life while allowing you to celebrate people and events that mean so much to you.
