Alternative Education's "Her"stories
We know our work in alternative education re-shapes futures for our students. Wayne Tucker, the Superintendent of PPEP TEC high schools, an alternative school system in southern Arizona, shares this report on two young women at their school in San Luis (near Yuma, AZ) on the international border with Mexico. The story caught the attention of national network news. Celebrate this story as you think of the young women you impact!

At Goddard Academy, we feel the connections and relationships we make with our students are what bring our students to school day after day. It is every adult’s job in the building to build positive relationships with our students. We decided to expand that belief of relationships to our community in hopes it could open some doors for our students after high school. We conducted an Adulting Day/Academy Connections Day here at Goddard Academy.
