Mitzvah Day Hosted by Temple Kol Ami Emanu-El

We are thrilled to share that Mitzvah Day was a huge success! Volunteers of all ages came together to pack and distribute food for those in need in our community. We are proud to say that we were able to prepare 100 meals,100 sandwiches, and 100 toiletry bags, all thanks to the dedication and hard work of all the volunteers.

We want to extend a special thank you to Kol Ami Emanu-El for hosting and inviting us to such an incredible event! We would also like to thank the Love to Help Foundation for their amazing support distributing the meals we prepared. Their partnership and commitment to serving our community helped us make an even greater impact!

Junior Advisory Board Spotlight:

Valentia Carvallo

Meet Valentina Carvello, a remarkable member of Joshua's Heart Foundation's Junior Advisory Board! Valentina has been involved with the organization since her high school years and has since become an integral part of the team. She is also an accomplished dancer, training every day at Miami Dance Collective and winning several national competitions. Valentina's passion for helping the community led her to organize a Thanksgiving food distribution in 2021 with her friend Monica Lama, feeding 1000 families. Prior to graduation, Valentina organized a JHF Grocery Distribution to help underprivileged families in the local area. With the goal of feeding 300 families and raising awareness about food insecurity, Valentina is empowering students to volunteer and make a direct impact in their community. Their dedication to service and leadership is truly inspiring. We're proud to have Valentina as a member of our team and can't wait to see what other amazing things she'll accomplish in the future!
