Our first month of creating and collaborating in the Makerspace was one for the books! We've loved having our community energize the space with your creativity and innovation. If you haven't yet made it to any of our weekly or special programs, come on down.
For adults:

For kids and teens:
- Kid Makers: On April 9, meet environmentalist Sophia Qin and explore how to protect the earth.
-
Crafty Wednesdays/Miércoles de Manualidades: In March, we made puzzles, papel picado and cherry blossom art. Come see what April has in store. For grades K-3
-
Teen Makers: On the third Saturday (APR 16), youth poets will be reading and making poems in our Makerspace using found and recycled objects.
- Coding Club: On Sundays, design robots, learn Python syntax and Scratch
There's more! Did you know the space can be used free of charge during Open Hours for coworking? Open Hours are Monday – Friday, 10am-3pm unless otherwise noted. The space has reconfigurable tables and chairs for collaborative work and TVs with HDMI connections.

April 3-9, 2022 is National Library Week, a time to highlight the essential role libraries and library staff play in transforming lives and strengthening communities. The theme for this year’s National Library Week is “Connect with Your Library,” which promotes the idea that libraries are places to get connected… to each other, to new ideas, to new communities. Redwood City Public Library continually strives to connect with you by expanding resources and embracing equity in our programming, services and collections. We encourage you to show your appreciation and support this week by visiting us in person or online, following us on social media, or by simply saying hello to a staff member.
Follow us on Facebook and Instagram this week as we introduce you to staff members who make the library go ‘round. Happy National Library Week!
