Mercy Care believes that healthy housing provides a foundation for making and keeping our members healthy. Having a home supports a sense of identity and belonging. We also recognize that creating a home environment is more than just the physical structure of a house, but also includes essential household items that will improve the member's standard of living.
Mercy Care’s Making it Home Initiative will provide funding to direct care clinics, based on the number of members served, to connect members with standard of living items to include:
- Cookware: pots, pans, utensils
- Hygiene items
- Kitchen items: Glasses, plates, bowls, blender, kitchen towels, plastic food storage containers
- Linens: Sheets, pillows, pillow cases, comforter
- Identifications, birth certificates
