Annette C. Reboli named Interim Dean

Annette C. Reboli, MD, has been named Interim Dean of Cooper Medical School of Rowan University (CMSRU), effective August 6, 2016.

Dr. Reboli has served as Vice Dean since 2010, overseeing the LCME accreditation process, undergraduate and graduate medical education, faculty affairs and faculty development, and creating clinical affiliations. However, her involvement with CMSRU began long before that. As Head of the Division of Infectious Diseases, Deputy Chief for the Department of Medicine at Cooper University Hospital, and longtime professor of medicine, she had an active role in the early planning phases of the medical school. From 2009-10, she served as Interim Dean as the school embarked on the search for our Founding Dean. She has been committed to academic medicine her entire career.

"As Interim Dean, I look forward to continuing the tremendous success we have achieved over the past several years," said Dean Reboli. "Together with our faculty, staff and students, I hope can build upon our achievements and ensure that we remain committed to our mission to providing a humanistic education focused on excellence in patient care, innovative teaching, research and service to our community."

Dr. Reboli follows in the footsteps of Founding Dean Paul Katz, who departed CMSRU for his new role as President of University of the Sciences in Philadelphia. Encourage a new student with a White Coat Note

On September 16, 2016, the 87 members of the CMSRU Class of 2020 will participate in their White Coat Ceremony. This ceremony is a celebrated rite of passage for new medical students across the nation. Students will recite the Hippocratic Oath for the first time and receive their white coats.

With a minimum gift of $100, you can write a meaningful note to any medical student- or the student of your choosing- that will be placed in the pocket of their brand new white coat.

All donations go directly to the Student Activities Fund, which supports various clubs, sports, and student initiatives at CMSRU.

Our goal is to have each student receive a handwritten note in his or her pocket the day of the ceremony. These notes ensure that our students have the necessary funds to support their various clubs and activities. More importantly, these notes offer priceless memories and encouragement that will last a lifetime!
