MedFlix: How to Survive a Plague

The 2012 David France documentary provides an insider’s account of a pivotal moment in the early years of the AIDS epidemic, and the work activist groups did to ensure American civil rights.

The screening coincides with our welcoming the Class of 2025 during Orientation Week, and offers our new students as well as the entire School of Medicine community an opportunity to view and discuss a film with themes relevant to future physicians and health care.

Oncomine Grant Program

Application Due: July 16, 2021 (confirmed)


The Oncomine Clinical Research Grant Program supports investigator-initiated studies (IIS) and education projects, on molecular testing in oncology and reproductive health, with the goal to increase high-quality molecular profiling for patients and to improve clinical outcomes in the future. 

Proposal reviews are conducted by independent and internationally recognized experts together with Thermo Fisher Scientific medical and scientific leadership. Funding is considered based on scientific merit and alignment with strategic areas of focus.

American Cancer Society

Postdoctoral Fellowships Award

Application Due: October 15, 2021 (confirmed)


Researchers who are within 3 years of receiving a doctoral degree may apply for initial funding to start training for an independent career in cancer research (including basic, preclinical, clinical, cancer control, psychosocial, behavioral, epidemiology, health services, and health policy research). Applicants must be US citizens or permanent residents.
