I write to you on the anniversary of a somber occasion. Our country was attacked on this day in 2001. On September 11th, I will forever think of those who protect us. I am especially reminded of the millitary personnel who serve our armed forces as well as those who respond to human cries for help by running toward danger.
I am also reminded of how and why each of us needs to take measures to protect ourselves. Vigilance can reduce harm when it detects a threat before it does damage. Of course, fear is a natural response, but we would do well to limit its rule upon us, because life is meant to be lived.
Such is as true for human health as it is for national security. For instance, it is commonplace today to fear sun exposure, yet our bodies were designed to not only withstand the sun, but also to spend time in it. The skin absorbs the rays, which are converted into the essential nutrient Vitamin D. Vitamin D deficiency has become a too-common American condition with serious consequences, the most recent being a reduction in immune system protection against Covid-19. Yet, like the freedoms we enjoy, taking in too much of a good thing without due respect can result in malfunction. Over exposure can lead to a diagnosis of malignant melanoma, which can be a terrifying experience. Thus, I offer knowledge and advice on the topic in today's feature.
We are also repeating a news announcement in the interest of protecting our children as they go back to school (Children's Immune Supplement). Finally, we want to make sure you are aware that time has nearly run out on last event for 2022. This is your chance for "learning to be healthier," as Deb Ketterer said after completing our Full System Detoxification Cleanse.
It is my hope that we never experience another occassion like that of September 11th, 2001. While we may not be able to fully control our enemies, we can give appreciation and support to those who stand guard in our defense.
We’re here for you,
Dr. Pfeiffer
