Little Free Library

Little Free Library is back!!

TAKE A BOOK
LEAVE A BOOK

Located in the heart of the Malvern Borough in Burke Park, our NEW LITTLE FREE LIBRARY is up! This community resource was installed by Public Works over the summer and is fully stocked with wonderful books for kiddos and adults!!

We are now part of the world’s largest book sharing program!!

This is a free book exchange. Enjoy a walk in our parks and grab a book at the same time!!

Special thank you to Michelle Troha for initiating this project a few years back.
Go WilMa!
Go WilMa! is an exciting and entertaining summer outdoor adventure program that encourages children in the Willistown and Malvern region (no residency requirement) to explore the natural and historic treasures of our area through a series of scavenger hunts. It combines parks and recreation, health and wellness, reading, and lots of fresh air fun!

For the first time ever, we are going to continue the program this fall with new scavenger hunts through our local parks, including our very own Randolph Woods! Follow GoWilMa! on Facebook for registration news and summer prize details.
Contact Mary Hundt, Parks and Rec Director of WIllistown Township, to request an invitation to sign up. Registration is limited.

Children's Yoga with Linda
This summer on #WellnessWednesdays, we also offered a new online children's yoga to our younger residents. We received excellent feedback from our participants!! The program was a 100% virtual FACEBOOK LIVE event and the videos are saved on our Facebook page, so you can continue to watch and join the yoga classes. Please let us know if you would like to see more children's fitness classes this year.

Malvern Rocks! Hunt
This summer we saw your creativity as we found painted kindness rocks around the Borough to lift all of our spirits as part of our Malvern Rocks Hunt. If you haven't had a chance to paint and hide your own rock, please visit Randolph Woods soon to take a rock from the rock pile at the entrance. Then paint, hide, and find rocks to share kindness with our neighbors!! Visit our Facebook page to see Committee Member Erin Sheffield and her children share their painted rocks and to watch a painting tutorial from beloved Malvern resident Emma, who displays her beautiful kindness rock garden on Monument Avenue! #MalvernRocks

Nature Mandalas
Here is Amy from the Parks and Rec Committee along with her kids showing us their beautiful Nature Mandala they made in their front yard using some of the rocks they found around Malvern. How cool! Thanks Amy for sharing this with us!
The Nature Mandala Project is a way to honor the seasons changing and how everything in nature is connected. See the link below for an article with some tips for creating your own mandala with materials such as leaves, sticks, rocks, and flowers you find while you are out enjoying the parks this fall.

Visit our Facebook page to see the Mandala our Committee Member Amy DiElsi and her children made this summer. If you make your own mandala, we would love for you to share a picture with us on our Facebook page.

Healthy Snacks Video
To help our kids have healthy snack ideas while virtual learning at home, we invite you to our Facebook page to watch Committee Member Angela Lewis and her helper Kendra share fun and easy healthy snack Ideas for the family!

Online Children's Scavenger Hunt
This summer, our Committee Members Helise Bichefsky and Angela Lewis hosted two fun scavenger hunts for household items! Thanks to all who participated in the Facebook Live hunts! If you didn't have a chance to join, you can still participate by watching the saved videos on our Facebook page. Have fun hunting!
