Sosa met Maria De Lourdes Dorantes, aka “Lulu” in 2009. He thought he finally found the love of his life. Not long after their dream wedding, he began noticing that Lulu was changing. The once doting wife was now cold, calculating, and hungry for power. The former prized fighter realized this woman would stop at nothing to take everything he had worked hard for his whole life, including planning the unthinkable. Sosa, a father of three, knew he and his entire family were in danger and Lulu had to be stopped, even if it meant he would have to walk on his own grave.
Today, Lulu is serving a 20-year sentence in a Gatesville, Texas correctional facility and Ramon Sosa is a sought after public speaker who uses the lessons he’s learned from his traumatic near-death experience to become a powerful voice for men who are in manipulative and abusive relationships and believe they have no way out. Ramon hopes his story will help men and women everywhere identify and have the courage to speak out about all forms of abuse.
