Nominate an Amazing Team or Teammate for an Honors Award!
Is there someone on your team who goes above and beyond to live our Shared Core Values? How about someone you work with that Collaborates with Integrity? Or a team that puts Equity and our Students First?

Celebrate these individuals by nominating them for an Honors Award:

Also, nominate a DPS parent or family who is making a positive impact in their school communities for the Family Leadership Award , presented at a Superintendent Parent Forum.

All honorees will be announced and celebrated this fall. Nominations are due May 24 . Questions? Email .
Benefits Open Enrollment Starts Next Week; Ensure Your Team Takes Action
This year, Benefits Open Enrollment is open April 22-May 10 . Every benefits-eligible employee must take action or they will be automatically enrolled in the Aetna 3500 CDHP plan with employee-only coverage, post-tax and a Health Savings Account (HSA). Encourage your staff to select their own benefits to avoid being auto enrolled.

New Hiring Resource: Process Map
In order to make navigating the hiring process easier for managers, Human Resources has developed a quick guide process map . This map highlights the steps -- including links -- to DPS hiring guides on The Commons so you can use the map as a one-stop-shop for your hiring needs.
Move Teachers to Qualify for Central Office Roles by May 1
If you are hiring a current teacher -- including Teacher Leaders -- for a central office role, you must move them to "Qualify" in Infor HR by May 1 . After May 1, you will need permission from their current principal, unless their 2018-19 position has been reduced (effective for 2019-20 school year) or the teacher is being promoted.

While permission may not be necessary, a reference check should be completed for all hires. When required, please note which leader from the “sending” school granted permission.
