Reminder: Our DPS Day is Aug. 16
Save the date for this year's virtual Our DPS Day. From 8:30-10 a.m.  Aug. 16, teams will connect for a first-of-its-kind live streaming event, designed to bring the entire DPS team together. This year's theme "A Better Me, A Better We" focuses on the importance of caring for ourselves and our teams in order to better care for our students.

To prepare for this event, make sure your team is available and has accepted the Our DPS Day calendar invite. Check in with your executive director or chief for details on what to expect and how to prepare your team. All DPS team members can also expect to receive an updated calendar invite with event details prior to the event.

Email [email protected] with additional questions and get ready to connect as a district on Aug. 16!

Complete 2016-17 LIFT, CCE Employee Appraisals by Aug. 11
The 2016-17 LIFT and Core Competencies Evaluation (CCE) performance year ends Aug. 11. Please complete appraisals and submit for employee review in Infor HR by Aug. 11 so Human Resources can prepare pay-for-performance worksheets and complete the process in time for Sept. 30 paychecks. Late submissions -- after Aug. 11 -- could delay recommended pay-for-performance increases for managers.

New LIFT Process: Set LIFT Behavior Goal by Sept. 30
The 2017-18 LIFT performance year has kicked off. This year, there is a new action item for employees. All LIFT-eligible employees should set one LIFT Behavior Goal in Infor HR, in addition to three to five SMART goals. Your LIFT Behavior Goal should be related to LIFT competencies. This helps you and your team members track and comment on LIFT behaviors throughout the year. Remember that setting and achieving goals is important because at year-end, overall ratings are based on achievement of goals (50%) and LIFT performance indicators (50%).  Use this criteria  to set your LIFT Behavior Goal.

Goals can be set and managed throughout the year, but all goals should be approved in Infor HR by Sept. 30. Leaders can set earlier deadlines, so check with your team's leader to confirm when goals are due. The earlier you and your employees set goals, the more time you have to achieve them.

Updates and FYI
Look for a New Benefits Enrollment Site in 2017-18
The Total Rewards team heard employees' concerns about how challenging it can be to enroll in DPS benefits, complete paper copies of forms and access voluntary benefits. To mitigate these concerns and to improve the benefits enrollment process, a new, more user-friendly site will be used to enroll in benefits in the 2017-18 school year. The site will be launched in August in time for new employees to enroll in benefits. In the meantime, please continue to have employees enroll in benefits in Infor HR.
