Changes Coming Soon: Transitioning to Google
Beginning in the 2019-20 school year, and through December 2020, DPS will transition from using Microsoft Office programs to Google Suite products. Google is a free service, which means DPS will see significant annual savings, so we can continue to prioritize our funding where it is needed most -- invested in our schools and classrooms.

In addition to savings, Google offers powerful tools that improve collaborative teamwork between DPS staff, students and parents. Plus, working in cloud-based applications provides better flexibility and greater accessibility to your work.

We understand the impact this transition could have on your work, and we will have resources, training and support available for all team members during this transition. Stay tuned for updates in the coming months.

In the meantime, please do not authorize or make any new purchases for Microsoft Office products and licenses without consulting with DoTS.

Postpone Setting LIFT Goals
The new performance year for LIFT began July 1 . The beginning of the performance year is usually the time to start setting goals. With the recent organizational shifts, please postpone setting your and your teams’ goals until DPS’ strategies and priorities for the 2019-20 school year are shared in mid-August.

Stay tuned for additional information in the coming weeks, then plan to take these steps:
  • Set your goals after DPS’ strategies and priorities are shared.
  • Decide on up to four goals, with one goal focused on professional growth.
  • Enter your goals in Infor HR by October 11.
