Update on District Survey Strategy
This is the last week to take the CollaboRATE survey -- thank you for continuing to monitor your dashboard and encouraging your team to share their voice. See more important reminders about CollaboRATE below. As we wrap up one of DPS’ most important surveys of the year, we wanted to share some more information on our overall survey strategy, and how it can benefit our teams and stakeholders.

This year, we’ve revamped our survey strategy to respond to the COVID-19 pandemic, leading to an increase in surveys to capture and include student, educator and family voices in our decision making. Additionally, the reimagining the SPF process gave us an opportunity to revise the Family Satisfaction and Student Satisfaction surveys.

The Impact Office continues to coordinate districtwide surveys that engage students, educators, and families regularly over the course of the school year, and is working closely with Academics, Equity & Engagement, Operations, Schools and Communications to align survey items and reporting. See all the planned surveys and past survey results here
Do you need stakeholder feedback on a topic or project? We may already have collected the information you need, or we may be able to include your questions in an upcoming survey.

Do you need support in developing, administering, or analyzing a survey? Our survey experts can help! Contact Heather Covey or Laura Rech at
Updates & FYI
Ensure Your Team Participates in CollaboRATE by Midnight Friday
Encourage your team to take CollaboRATE -- DPS’ all-employee engagement survey -- before it closes at midnight this Friday, Feb. 19. We want to give all team members the opportunity to share feedback with DPS as a whole and need your help making sure your entire team shares theirs through the survey.

As a reminder: School-support team members will be asked to answer a number of questions about "MY DEPARTMENT." Each leader should inform their teams before the survey goes out about how to interpret "MY DEPARTMENT" for the purpose of the survey (i.e., clarify if team members should respond on their smaller team, their department or the division as a whole).

We have worked with our LGBTQ+ Belong group and team members throughout the district to create a more inclusive and effective survey. This includes, for the third year, the addition of voluntary and confidential self-identification questions.

Sign Up Your Team for a Benefits Open Enrollment Presentation
To help employees prepare for Open Enrollment (April 19-May 7), we will have virtual webinars, online Q&As, English and Spanish resources, and more. Please direct team members to the Open Enrollment page on The Commons for more information.

In addition, sign up your team for a group presentation to learn more about this year's available benefits. Group presentations are available for up to 250 team members per presentation. Please email for availability and scheduling.
Additional Review for Infor/Lawson Development and Reporting Requests
All requests for changes in the Infor and Lawson applications (outside of break/fix) will be reviewed by the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Operations Committee. This additional review will ensure alignment with the district’s multi-year shift to a new ERP system, as part of the At Your Service (AYS) project. Report development and integration requests will be reviewed alongside resource availability, to support teams’ current focus on data conversion required for the AYS project. Requests may be submitted through the BIS Portal. Please note: Tickets for production problems and security role changes will continue to be addressed as usual.
Announcing the Multilingual Education Learning and Development Team
Multilingual Education is excited to announce that our Teacher Qualification team has a new name! To more accurately reflect the broad scope of work this team supports, including Teacher Qualification, they will now be called MLE Learning and Development. MLE Learning and Development supports the continual development of all DPS educators to best serve the district’s Multilingual Learners. More information about this and other upcoming changes is available here.
Please note that for the time being, teacher designations will remain the same (ELA-S, ELA-E, and ELA-T). For more information on MLE Learning and Development, visit our page on The Commons.

Complete LIFT and CCE Mid-Year Conversations and Update LIFT Goals
As a reminder, the LIFT and CCE 2020-21 cycle is at its mid-year point. If you have not already done so, please complete your mid-year performance conversations with your team members. (The target completion date for mid-year conversations was Feb. 12.)

Mid-year is a good time to update, inactivate and approve goals if needed. For example, a team member who has been working full-time in a school or has shifted their work time to provide school support may need to update their goals.

Note: All team members eligible for LIFT are required to have at least one Equity goal approved in Infor HR. If you have questions, please reach out to
