Epic Training for New Clinical Team Members

Transitioning to vetted, computer-based training

Know Icon Resized

Know this:

Our Epic Technology Educators collaborated with subject matter experts and operations across the Aspirus system to review Epic training for new team members.

Through this partnership, role-based Curriculum Review Boards (CRB) were established to review, provide feedback, and validate the training materials developed to educate Aspirus employees.

Computer-based training lesson plans, exercise booklets, assessments, and other reference materials were critically analyzed to ensure they include pertinent workflows learners will routinely perform.

Our Epic CRB was guided by principles to ensure training is:

  • Specific to role and workflow.
  • Structured and flexible.
  • Provided over time.
  • Level 100 – What the new learner needs today to be successful.
  • Level 200 – What to provide later to build upon the learner’s skills.

The Epic team is transitioning training to a new, vetted, computer-based training over the next few weeks. Please inform new clinical team members undergoing onboarding that they may have brief modules to complete later during their onboarding.
