Annual Meeting Program -Wednesday, June 1
"The Nature of Manchester: A Walk on the Wild Side"

The rich Human history of Manchester-by-the-Sea is well known to many residents of Cape Ann, but did you know that the town also has a wealth of natural history as well? For example,  did you know that it is home to a dozen orchid species including a globally rare one on the state endangered species list? Or that  the town harbors the most important wading bird colony in New England? At this year's annual meeting, naturalist, author, and Gloucester resident Chris Leahy of Mass Audubon will present an illustrated lecture on Manchester's extensive wild lands and the fascinating diversity of plants and animals they contain.
