in 2023 Morton County & Mandan Community Calendar


Businesses can reach approximately 16,100 Morton County addresses plus support an important civic project by advertising in the 2023 community calendar. There's one opportunity for a presenting sponsorship at $2,500 to include a logo on the front cover plus each month, both in print and online. Business card size ads are $325 each and are allotted on a first-come, first-served basis, two per month with 17 spots remaining available.

  • Sales tax - up 11%
  • Restaurant & lodging tax - up 9%
  • Hotel occupancy tax - up 24%

Midwest Flavor Fest Planned for Aug. 26-27


Phillip Schultz, founder of Bisman Eats and North Dakota Eats, is holding a food, art and music festival in Dykshoorn Park on West Main Street. The family-oriented, all-ages event will be free to enter. They welcome vendors from across the region.

Tree Planting Supporters Will Be Recognized


Business donations toward the Mandan boulevard tree planting program will be recognized through the Mandan Messenger, City website and social media pages. Businesses donating $500 or more by July 22 will receive a plaque. Donors of $1,000 or more will have their names displayed on a permanent plaque in the Ed “Bosh” Froehlich meeting room at City Hall. Activities begin July 4 with the road race at 8 a.m., street festival at 9 a.m., classic cars at 10 a.m. with the full parade expected to arrive on Main Street at 10:30 a.m.
