Quincy, Hull and Taunton, MA – The Manet Community Health Center Board of Directors elected a new slate of officers for 2019 and will welcome new and returning members this month. Quincy resident and attorney Robert J. Griffin , who formerly served as the treasurer of the board, has assumed the role of president of the board beginning January 1. Board President Griffin (left) has been a member of the Manet Board since 2011. He is the managing partner of Krokidas & Bluestein LLP, where he has been since 1985 with practice interests and concentrations in health care, non-profit, administrative and corporate law. Griffin acknowledges Eva Greenwood and John Galluzzo, former board and interim board presidents, for their exemplary leadership and commitment to an engaged board as he also looks forward to welcoming Manet's newest board members for 2019: Dr. Neda Hovaizi, DDS, of Milton, owner and practicing dentist at Lumiere Dental Spa in Quincy, and Samantha Chen of Quincy, an analyst at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts.

According to Griffin, the Manet Board will be focused on the development of a comprehensive  three-year strategic plan that dedicates and drives the health center to deliver exceptional programs and services, strengthen organizational infrastructure and develop and maintain strategic partnerships and collaborations within the service areas and practice locations in Quincy, Hull and Taunton. Moreover, Griffin emphasizes in the year ahead, there will be a reflection and celebration of forty years of uninterrupted service to a burgeoning service area with practice sites in Quincy, Hull and Taunton, along with the expansion of high quality, integrated, innovative program and services including, yet not limited to Behavioral Health, Wellness and Prevention, Prenatal and Women’s Health, Medication Assisted Treatment programs for persons in recovery, and the essential implementation of value-based payment reform all the while continuing Manet’s optimal performance and advocacy as a member of the US Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) federally qualified health center program.

“I am honored to serve as president of the Manet Board of Directors and I look forward to working with this patient majority board of directors and Cynthia Sierra, chief executive officer, and her executive team as we, for and with the community, prepare for the future and for an exciting and challenging year ahead,” Griffin remarked.
