WINNIPEG, Manitoba, Canada, July 31, 2022 - The 74th running of the $100,000 Manitoba Derby will go to post on Monday, August 1. The race drew a field of eight highly competitive 3-year-olds going the distance of a mile and an eighth.
Monday’s program will also include the $50,000 Harvey Warner Manitoba Mile Stakes and the $50,000 Escape Clause Stakes.
In addition to the feature races, players will have a crack at the ASD Jackpot Pick 5 pool, which has not been won yet this year and is set to be a mandatory payout that night.
The jackpot is $515,683 going into Monday’s program and the final pool is estimated to be well in excess of $1 million. It is set to be a huge windfall for players who are able to correctly select the winner of the last five races of the program. Tickets are only 20 cents each.
