A Snapshot in Time by Bob Gates

This week’s honouree for our ‘Love Month’ themed Snapshot in Time is One and Only. The multiple stakes-winning mare, who gets the ultimate Valentine's Day honour, was only on the track in 1982 and 1983.

On May 14, 1983, One and Only was ridden by local rider Joseph Selyem (who, by the way, prefers Joseph to Joe) and trained by Harry Kube. Her 2-year-old season saw the Stoneacres star win six of her 11 starts, including the Damselle, Stockton, Buffalo, and La Verendrye Stakes, as well as the Winnipeg Futurity Trial. (Gerry Hart photo)

Let’s break it down.
