Jose Muñoz
Degree Concentration:
Management Information Systems
January - July 2022

As a co-op in the Information Services department at Enterprise Bank, Jose worked with teams that support the hardware and application programs used by other bank branches to maintain customer relations and compliance. Jose enjoyed working in a department that is project-oriented. He felt fortunate to work with them as he experienced many projects coming to fruition. Being an active member of different groups, Jose learned a great deal about opportunities in information technology and saw firsthand how an organization mitigates cybersecurity risks.

Jose also learned to document process flows, visually depicting communication between the bank's network and new applications and products. In addition, he took a deep dive into activities such as data cleanup, validation, and creation of product matrices. Jose found that this was the most critical part of his job because his co-workers would make project decisions based on his reports. Jose also learned about the numerous legal requirements for storing and protecting customer data at a financial institution.

Chioke said his favorite part of the internship was when all OneDigital interns visited corporate headquarters in Atlanta, GA, for a three-day, in-person summit. Chioke said, "the summit was so exciting; we got to hear a presentation from the CEO [Adam Bruckman] and ask as many questions as we wanted. Fun fact - the CEO worked in Boston for a while!"
