Allison Transmission announced it received certification from the California Air Resources Board (CARB) for the model year 2022 eGen Flex™ electric hybrid propulsion system paired with Cummins B6.7 and L9 engines. Since 2014, Allison has received annual certification from CARB for the Allison H 40/50 EP™ propulsion system.

Penske adds Ford E-Transit cargo vans to rental & leasing fleet
Penske Truck Leasing announced an order of 750 all-electric Ford E-Transit cargo vans. The company is taking delivery of its first vehicles in the next several weeks. The move follows successfully piloting the vehicles late last year, according to a company statement.

Canadian utility Enmax to pilot medium-duty EVs
Two Enmax electric fleet vehicles are hitting the streets across Calgary as part of the utility's commitment to a cleaner energy future. The pilot program could save an estimated 4,300 litres of diesel per vehicle every year.
Proterra Transit appoints Julian Soell as president
Proterra Inc., a commercial vehicle electrification technology company, has named Julian Soell as president of its Proterra Transit business unit. He will oversee Proterra’s growing business as a manufacturer of electric transit buses in North America. Soell will report directly to Proterra CEO Gareth Joyce.
