Main Stay Farm - Many Hearts, One Farm

The purpose of Many Hearts, One Farm is to educate and inspire our team, clients and the communities that we serve. The Many Hearts, One Farm logo reminds us that no one heart is better or more important than the other because we need each one in order to make different but beautiful colors. Just like every paint color on a palette, everyone who walks through the doors of Main Stay plays an equally important part in our mission.

Native American Heritage Month

November is a time of reflection, gratitude, and celebration, and this month holds special significance as we recognize Native American Heritage Month! Established in 1990, this month serves as a powerful reminder of the rich cultural heritage, history, and contributions of Native American peoples throughout the United States. It is a time to honor their traditions, stories, and the resilience they have shown over centuries.

Native American Heritage Month encourages us to learn about the diverse cultures and histories of Native American tribes. Each tribe has its own unique customs, languages, and artistic expressions that contribute to the fabric of American life. In the regions of Wisconsin and Illinois, several tribes, including the Potawatomi, Ojibwe, and Ho-Chunk, have thrived for generations. Their stories and legacies are interwoven with the land, offering us insights into sustainable living and deep respect for nature.

Celebrating this month is important not just for recognizing the past, but also for fostering a greater understanding and appreciation of Native American communities today! It is an opportunity for all of us to engage with Indigenous cultures, support Native artists and businesses, and promote awareness of the issues that Native peoples face. By participating in local events, reading literature by Native authors, and supporting Indigenous-led initiatives, we can contribute to a more inclusive society.

At Main Stay, we believe in the power of community and the sharing of cultural stories. This month, we invite everyone to join us in celebrating Native American Heritage Month. Let’s take this chance to learn, reflect, and appreciate the rich tapestry of Native American history that continues to inspire us.
