Main Stay Farm - Many Hearts, One Farm

The purpose of Many Hearts, One Farm is to educate and inspire our team, clients and the communities that we serve. The Many Hearts, One Farm logo reminds us that no one heart is better or more important than the other because we need each one in order to make different but beautiful colors. Just like every paint color on a palette, everyone who walks through the doors of Main Stay plays an equally important part in our mission.

Global Diversity Awareness Month

October is Global Diversity Awareness Month! This month shines a spotlight on the value of inclusivity and the diverse perspectives that enrich our communities and workplaces. It serves as a powerful reminder that every individual deserves to be treated with respect and dignity.

At Main Stay, our Many Hearts, One Farm logo illustrates the magic that unfolds when we embrace our differences and come together. Much like the colors of a rainbow, each color is equally vital, uniting to create a beautiful spectrum of hues. Since 1987, every person who has walked through our doors has contributed uniquely to our mission, making this farm the beautiful place it is today.

One of the simplest ways to honor this month is by practicing the "Platinum Rule" in your daily interactions: Do unto others as they would want done to them. The Platinum Rule helps us meet people where they are rather than where we are, ensuring better outcomes for all.

International Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) Awareness Month

October is also International Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) Awareness Month! This month is dedicated to raising awareness, educating, and building support around communication methods that differ from typical spoken language. AAC encompasses various forms of communication, such as sign language, gestures, body postures, facial expressions, and assisted technologies like tablets or communication devices.

At Main Stay, AAC strategies help support clients who are unable to communicate verbally, such as rider Grace! Pictured, Grace instructs her horse Harry to "whoa" by pointing to the word "Stop"
