Leaders in Energy and its partnering organizations, the Association of Energy Engineers (National Capital and Baltimore Chapters), very much appreciate your participation and support of our 2018 Extravaganza.  We hope that you found the event to be informative, beneficial for networking, and fun with the door prizes provided by the hosts and exhibitors.

We want to thank our speakers, sponsors and exhibitors, volunteers, and our attendees for supporting and making our 2018 Extravaganza a great success!

A special thanks to Lockheed Martin for hosting the lovely reception prepared by Good Tidings Catering.

We have received many nice comments on the event.  One attendee observed that:

"..the conference was a group mentoring session where technology providers, entrepreneurs, policy makers, students, and other stakeholders could share their best practices, stories on building their careers and businesses, and collectively shape a framework for advancing clean energy locally and nationally.  Holding the event in one room where the panel sessions, networking reception and technology displays were all held allowed for cross-pollination of ideas and connections."

See some photo snapshots further below.  We are also preparing recap articles on the event sessions.

We will conduct our second Working Group meeting on March 13th, 6-7:30 pm, on steps to build a Circular Economy in the DC Region. (See more below)

In April, we will participate again in the Northern Virginia Community College's Annual Green Festival at its Annandale Campus (in Fairfax, VA) scheduled for April 26th, 2018. This year's theme is "Towards Environmental Resilience in a Changing World".

In terms of our future events, mark your calendars for our 5th Green Jobs Forum (August 16th) and 5th Four Generations Awards and Holiday Event (November 30th).

We will conduct our second meeting to examine steps for building a circular economy in the DC Region on Tuesday, March 13th, at the Shop Made in DC store from 6-7:30 pm.  If you are new to the group and wish to attend, please email info@leadersinenergy.org.

At Leaders in Energy, we are focused on building a global action network to advance clean energy and sustainable solutions. We are connecting people in the U.S. and around the world who are passionate about clean energy and sustainability in over 100 countries.

We are seeking transformative change for a better world through collective action and leadership.   We have worked to forge consensus and convene experts on sustainable energy systems, such as microgrids, to reduce greenhouse gases and take actions to move from a throwaway society to a circular economy.

Leaders in Energy connects people through our website, LinkedIn page, and other social media, as well as our face-to-face events. We also connect job seekers with hiring managers and help those seeking solutions to link with vendors providing a variety of sustainability solutions.

We appreciate your support and attendance at our thought leadership, educational, and professional networking events on clean energy and sustainability topics.  We believe that our organization is playing an important role in building the capacity for positive change and action by convening professionals who are working to make a difference.

For those who are interested in the circular economy, we will conduct our second working group on Tuesday, March 13th, 6-7:30 pm, at Shop Made in DC.  If you are new to the group and wish to attend, please RSVP to info@leadersinenergy.org.

Sincerely,

Janine A. Finnell
