The project to reconstruct Maple Road from Southfield to Woodward is now 75% complete! The following work was completed last week:
East Maple
- East Maple planter boxes are now complete.
- Irrigation work along East Maple is 75% complete.
- Existing mast arms are primed for final painting.
West Maple
- All road-related concrete is complete, including the Southfield intersection and parking lanes.
- Crews completed preparation work for the installation of structural soil.
- Bates intersection traffic signal work is now 50% complete.
- The wooden barrier has been removed and safety fencing has been installed to create space for crews to work on the planter boxes and structural soil.
This week, crews will work on the following:
On the east side of the project, the contractor will begin installing the exposed aggregate sidewalk. Crews will also work on streetlight foundation work. On the west side of the project, crews will continue with structural soil work, and begin conduit work for irrigation, electric system and streetlights. Crews will continue traffic signal work at the Bates intersection, and work will begin for the traffic signal at Chester.
The Southfield and Maple intersection will continue to be closed this week. During the closure, please use the Phase 2 detour.
