Volunteer Opportunities
Love Working with Children? Volunteer Today!

We are looking for volunteers who love working with children, either in the kitchen or in the garden…..or both!

At the Arboretum, we are offering exciting, educational classes to young children who enjoy cooking (Kids Can Cook), as well as those interested in gardening (Let’s Get Growing). We need a few volunteers to help our Educators during these fun classes.

Upcoming dates include:
  • Let’s Get Growing on March 20. The class runs from 9:30 - 11:00 am and takes place outside or in our new tented classroom.
  • Kids Can Cook on March 10 and 31. The class runs from 4:00 - 5:30 pm and takes place in the Wisner House, following strict safety guidelines. Some of these classes will also be Zoom classes.

If you would like to volunteer to assist with any of these classes, or you have any questions, email t.cassin@reeves-reedarboretum.org or call 908-273-8787 x1616.

Join the Horticulture Department as they continue their winter “housekeeping” both indoors and out! Sessions will be held Saturdays and Mondays from 2:00 pm through 4:00 pm.

Tasks may include cutting down the Daffodil Bowl, organizing the barn, planting daffodil bulbs, tool maintenance, snow-removal, raking leaves, and pruning of shrubs and roses.

To register, go to www.reeves-reedarboretum.org/get-involved/volunteer/ or email Volunteer Coordinator, Trish Cassin, at t.cassin@reeves-reedarboretum.org.

Please note: For your safety, all tools and gloves are washed and sanitized, and masks are required. You are also free to bring your own gloves and tools.
