As you begin to be bombarded with advertisements for holiday shopping, we hope you will consider shopping at small local businesses this holiday season. Little shops like ours don't have the advertising budget that those huge corporations have, but we do have a lot of gratitude and appreciation for our customers!

Below, we shall highlight some exciting new maps, but you can always visit our Newly Listed Maps section to see everything from the past month or so. We have a Great Maps - Super Deals category that offers our discounted items. And don't forget that we also have a category specifically for maps under $100!

If you are looking for something specific, we recommend using the search function or the "Filter By" function on the left side above the listings to search within a category.

A Delicious Map of Cape Cod

A classic Cape Cod map in cranberry color, by Claretta Pope Higgins, 1948. The artist encourages her audience to "Cut out map in center and use as wall decoration. Cut individual silouettes and paste on cabinets. Use own brush work to join them. It's fun!" Perhaps this explains why so few of these maps have appeared on the market.

California as an Island

We have not yet met many people who do not delight in a map with unusual, apocryphal, or downright made-up geography. These two wonderful maps feature one of the most desirable examples: California as an island. But they have far more than only that to commend them, including Quivira, imagined bays, mysterious peninsulas, and a squiggly river that appears to connect the Great Salt Lake to the sea.

Gift Idea: Miniature Maps

A small map, handsomely framed, would be a thoughtful gift for someone who holds a particular state, city, or country dear to their heart. Its petite size means that the recipient shouldn't have any trouble finding a spot for it in their home, even if its a small apartment. A framed map of their home state or favorite vacation spot would bring them great joy!
