Adoration at the Medical Campus
Wednesdays, 12 PM
Nowhere near the CSC?  Have no fear!  Adoration occurs every Wednesday in the Danforth Chapel on Wash U's Medical Campus.  Please contact Troy for more info, or stop by his office.

Pirates and Pancakes
Sunday, March 3rd. 12PM
Pirates and Pancakes- Ahoy! Join us in the social hall after Mass for a  pirate themed pancake breakfast. We will have fresh fruit, scrambled eggs, and hot cakes so tasty, you'll be saying, "Shiver me timbers!" all afternoon. There is no charge for breakfast, but we will be accepting donations toward the Spring Break Service Trip to Kansas City.


Netflix and Ethics
Monday, March 4th,7:00 - 8:00pm
Every other week we like to kick-back to Netflix and see how the shows of our daily lives spiritually connect.  Maybe for the better, maybe for the worst, or maybe you just want to chill because it's been a long week; it's up to you to decide and hear what others are thinking!  Join us in the CSC Commons and for more information, please contact Cody .

Interfaith Shrove Tuesday Pancakes!
Tuesday, March 5th.  CSC Social Hall 5:45-6:45

You may call it Shrove Tuesday, Fat Tuesday, or Mardi Gras, but it's also Pancake Day! If you're an undergrad, come celebrate with some delicious, FREE pancakes at this event, co-hosted by the WU Interfaith Alliance. Make new friends, eat free food, and learn more about Shrove Tuesday traditions!  (And if you have a passion for making pancakes, come a little early and help us make them! :)


CLD Applications now Open!
Deadline: Friday, March 6th. 12:00PM

What would you do with $1,000?

CLD runs a full academic year with regular leadership sessions, mentorship from the community, exposure to local leaders in both the for profit and non-profit sector, and a community based capstone project. Participants in the program will be awarded a $1000 scholarship, through funding from the Kemper Foundation.

Applications are now available for this elite year long program that begins Fall 2019; any undergraduate or graduate students currently enrolled at WashU are welcome to apply. The application deadline for is March 06, 2019 at noon. (Special consideration will be given to those who submit earlier.)

Discernment Retreat
When: Saturday, March 30

Hosted by the Apostles of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. This retreat offers young women time for quiet and prayer. It will also provide an opportunity for dialogue with a team of sisters and other discerning women. Please email for more!

The Intern-in-Service program at the Catholic Student Center at Washington University is a volunteer campus ministry initiative geared towards recent college graduates who seek not only to grow personally, professionally and spiritually, but also to form students intellectually, morally, socially, and spiritually. How does Catholicism uniquely speaks in relevant ways to you, the contemporary generation of young people?   This course focuses on the essentials of what it means to be Catholic and why those beliefs are essential not only for our faith but for living a life of fulfillment.

Coffee and Lunch with a CSC Intern!
Cody, Patrick, Lucas, and Sarah invite you to coffee or lunch any time during the semester.  Each intern brings their own background and story to their year of service and they are happy to work through any questions on faith and college with you.  If you have not had the opportunity yet to meet in person, feel free to fill out the form!

Mass and Soup MassSoup
There will be  no Mass and Soup on these dates:

The RCIA program takes place on Tuesday evenings at 7:00PM at the Catholic Student Center. Please email Jim Dryden for information:

RCIA is a process of study, exploration, faith-sharing, and faith formation with specific liturgical rites for seekers and inquirers. The language used in the RCIA process is that of the early Church formation programs. Catechumens are those people who are seeking full initiation into the Catholic Church through all of the Sacraments of Initiation - Baptism, Eucharist and Confirmation. Candidates are people who have been baptized in a Christian tradition but are seeking initiation into the Catholic Church through Eucharist and Confirmation.

Mardi Gras Mass and King Cake
Tuesday, March 5. 5:15 - 6:45PM

Instead of our usual Mass and soup on Tuesday, March 5, we're hosting a Mardi Gras Mass followed by a King Cake celebration! Join us for Mass at 5:15 PM and then for King Cake at 6:15.


Get Your Ashes Over Here!

The Catholic Student Center at WashU will be giving out ashes between 8AM - 8PM on Wednesday.

Every year, CSC collections during Ash Wednesday Mass go to a charitable organization. This year, the CSC collections are going to St. Louis Inter-Faith Committee on Latin America (IFCLA). IFCLA connects people of faith to work for migration justice by seeking structural changes in immigration policies and offering accompaniment to ICE check-ins for people who are undocumented.

Ash Wednesday Ecumenical Service

The Catholic Student Center at WashU will hold its annual Ecumenical Service at 12:15 on Ash Wednesday, March 6, which includes distribution of ashes. Our address is 6352 Forsyth Blvd, St. Louis, MO 63105, and all are welcome!

Give Your Old Shoes New Life

 A member of the CSC community, Rachel Ulbrich, has launched a shoe drive to collect 700 pairs of new or gently used shoes.

Soles4Souls is 
a non-profit social enterprise that creates sustainable jobs and provides relief through the distribution of shoes and clothing around the world. Founded in 2006, the organization has distributed more than 30 million pairs of new and used shoes in 127 countries.
