Pirates and Pancakes
Sunday, March 3rd. 12PM
Pirates and Pancakes- Ahoy! Join us in the social hall after Mass for a
pirate themed pancake breakfast. We will have fresh fruit, scrambled eggs, and hot cakes so tasty, you'll be saying, "Shiver me timbers!" all afternoon. There is no charge for breakfast, but we will be accepting donations toward the Spring Break Service Trip to Kansas City.

Interfaith Shrove Tuesday Pancakes!

You may call it Shrove Tuesday, Fat Tuesday, or Mardi Gras, but it's also Pancake Day! If you're an undergrad, come celebrate with some delicious, FREE pancakes at this event, co-hosted by the WU Interfaith Alliance. Make new friends, eat free food, and learn more about Shrove Tuesday traditions! (And if you have a passion for making pancakes, come a little early and help us make them! :)

CLD Applications now Open!

What would you do with $1,000?
CLD runs a full academic year with regular leadership sessions, mentorship from the community, exposure to local leaders in both the for profit and non-profit sector, and a community based capstone project. Participants in the program will be awarded a $1000 scholarship, through funding from the Kemper Foundation.

Discernment Retreat
When: Saturday, March 30
Hosted by the Apostles of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. This retreat offers young women time for quiet and prayer. It will also provide an opportunity for dialogue with a team of sisters and other discerning women. Please email [email protected] for more!

RCIA
The RCIA program takes place on Tuesday evenings at 7:00PM at the Catholic Student Center. Please email Jim Dryden for information:

RCIA is a process of study, exploration, faith-sharing, and faith formation with specific liturgical rites for seekers and inquirers. The language used in the RCIA process is that of the early Church formation programs. Catechumens are those people who are seeking full initiation into the Catholic Church through all of the Sacraments of Initiation - Baptism, Eucharist and Confirmation. Candidates are people who have been baptized in a Christian tradition but are seeking initiation into the Catholic Church through Eucharist and Confirmation.

Get Your Ashes Over Here!

The Catholic Student Center at WashU will be giving out ashes between 8AM - 8PM on Wednesday.

Every year, CSC collections during Ash Wednesday Mass go to a charitable organization. This year, the CSC collections are going to St. Louis Inter-Faith Committee on Latin America (IFCLA). IFCLA connects people of faith to work for migration justice by seeking structural changes in immigration policies and offering accompaniment to ICE check-ins for people who are undocumented.

A member of the CSC community, Rachel Ulbrich, has launched a shoe drive to collect 700 pairs of new or gently used shoes.
Soles4Souls is
a non-profit social enterprise that creates sustainable jobs and provides relief through the distribution of shoes and clothing around the world. Founded in 2006, the organization has distributed more than 30 million pairs of new and used shoes in 127 countries.
