Cholla District Weekly Update
March 6, 2026
| | | |
Dear Cholla Residents,
As the weather heats up, I wanted to remind you of the various water conservation rebates available to City of Glendale water customers. The purpose of this rebate program is to encourage community water conservation efforts and water-efficiency upgrades that are proven to save water. Single-family residential properties that receive water service from the City of Glendale and are in good standing are eligible for the following rebates:
- New home xeriscape installation
- Existing home xeriscape conversion
- Replacement of older, inefficient irrigation with newer water-efficient landscape irrigation technology
- Replacement of older, inefficient tank toilets with WaterSense labeled toilets
- Replacement of older, inefficient clothes washers with ENERGY STAR labeled washers
- Removal of an in-ground swimming pool and/or spa
Visit the Water Conservation Rebates web page for terms and conditions, forms, and applications on ways to receive a rebate and conserve water.
| | Last week, I had the pleasure of joining students at Bicentennial South Elementary School to officially open a time capsule discovered during the Glendale City Hall remodel, sealed back in 1985. We were joined by former Glendale Mayor George Renner, who read the letter he placed inside over 40 years ago. I look forward to helping create and place a new time capsule once the newly renovated City Hall is completed this spring. | | |
My office is always open and ready to assist you. Please feel free to reach out to me with any questions or concerns that you may have. I value your input and opinion.
Warm Regards,
Lauren Tolmachoff
