Wheaton Family Theatre Series presents
Baba Bomani: The ABC’s of Rap!
Baba Bomani, founder of the Frederick Douglass Writing Club, a literacy and history club for students, joins InterAct Story Theatre with a kid-friendly performance that explains the reading, writing, and arithmetic of Hip-Hop performance.
- From learning to recognize syllabic sounds, to understanding the rhythm patterns that turn those syllables into raps over a beat, students will be engulfed in dance and song through this highly interactive program! Best for ages 4 and up.

Bread and Puppet Theater is coming!
The world-famous Bread and Puppet Theater is coming to our area during their 60th anniversary tour. This will be the only performance in the DC area of the Vermont-based group during their Spring tour.
Wheaton Arts Parade is raising funds to cover the Puppet Theater's modest $3,000 fee so that tickets can be free to the public.

The touring company consists of 13 puppeteers and musicians who travel in an old school bus. Bread and Puppet performances are marked by giant puppets and masks, and a message of peace and social justice.

FYI, local residents are chipping in by opening their homes to provide lodging for the performers.
- The performance is free to the public and will be followed by Q&A with the company and a demonstration of how their puppets and stage props work.

10th Annual Montgomery County Energy Summit
Hosted by the

The education sessions will focus on preparing the commercial building community for compliance with energy benchmarking, building energy performance standards and emerging building codes.
